Overview

Royal guards everywhere are warriors pledged to a ruling house, and Arabasta's traditional version is the Royal Army led by Igaram. The New Royal Army is a non-canon offshoot of that force, existing only within a Memoria warped by the Large Mukashic Cube. In that altered reality, Crocodile's Operation Utopia did not fail but succeeded, leaving him in control of the Arabasta Kingdom and free to reshape its military to his own ends.

Role

Once crowned king of Arabasta, Crocodile overhauled the original Royal Army into the New Royal Army, blending its ranks with his Baroque Works organization. He elevated Baroque Works' Officer Agents into generals and placed them over the capital and other key cities, while folding additional bounty heads from across Arabasta into the force. Visually the army echoes the old Royal Army's look but in darker tones, trading the original's red accents for black tunic capes, black armor, and rows of yellow feathers.
