Overview

Hailing from the West Blue, this crew of devoted musicians first entered the tale through Crocus, who recalled them as the pirates that delivered Laboon to Twin Cape. Captain Yorki and a portion of the crew caught an untreatable illness and split away. The rest pressed on until an ambush with poisoned weapons claimed their doctor, and roughly half a century before the present day they all perished inside the Florian Triangle. Brook alone endured, brought back by the Yomi Yomi no Mi, though his wandering soul returned to find only bones and his trademark afro waiting.

Role

Every member adored song, and many were genuine virtuosos on drums, trumpets, violins, and cellos, with Brook able to handle nearly any instrument placed before him. Their seafaring skill carried them deep into the Grand Line before catastrophe struck. Facing certain death, they refused to fear it, regretting only that they would never see Laboon again. Years after taking the young whale in, they reached Reverse Mountain and entrusted Crocus with him, vowing to circle back once they had sailed the whole Grand Line.

Notable Members

Yorki led first, before sickness forced him and the infected crewmen to flee through the Calm Belt, their fate left unrecorded. Brook took over as acting captain, recorded the group's last performance onto a Tone Dial, and survived to haunt Thriller Bark on his own decades later. After Luffy's crew met him, Franky and Usopp raised a towering grave on Thriller Bark for the fallen, and Zoro set his broken blade Yubashiri beside it.
