Shortened to WENP and also called WE News, this globe-spanning paper travels the world in the beaks of the courier birds known as News Coo. Every part of the operation, from writing and printing to delivery, falls under "Big News" Morgans, a heavyweight of the Underworld. Its circulation blankets every Blue Sea, extends across much of the Grand Line's span, and even penetrates the sunken realm of Fish-Man Island, though it never arrives in isolated pockets such as the Calm Belt or in lands standing apart from the government, among them Wano and Elbaph.

Such reach brings staggering sway, enough that the World Government schemes to control the paper, whether by bribes or by slipping Cipher Pol agents inside to menace its staff. Its pages carry the newest wanted posters, reporting on the Levely, and lighter fare, such as a fashion column and the comic strip Sora, Warrior of the Sea. Readers such as Nami and Nico Robin pore over it every day to keep abreast of piracy, conflicts, and revolutionary stirrings.

Its journalism runs on a contradiction: the company will happily print what officials would rather conceal, yet it thinks nothing of inventing and inflating whatever draws profit or amuses the crowd Morgans dismisses as the ignorant masses. That opportunism reflects the president himself, a fixture of the Underworld whose connections extend to unsavory outfits; both the Big Mom Pirates and Germa 66 count among his contacts. The paper runs out of a mobile base shaped like a tea kettle, hoisted aloft by an enormous balloon stamped WE NEWS, ready to take flight the moment its location turns dangerous.

A number of reporters staff the WENP, though only a few carry names: Morgans himself, Iyan'eno Chinode, who writes a column, and the former Marine cameraman Attach. Attach is chiefly remembered for botching one attempt after another to snap a usable picture of Sanji, saddling the cook with a notoriously shoddy wanted poster. From the Worst Generation, Scratchmen Apoo feeds the paper leaked intelligence, while CP0's Stussy swaps tips for access to Morgans' private files. As Jinbe notes, the paper's generous fees for photographs seed it with informants almost everywhere.
