Function

The sword has a perfectly straight blade with an ornate green and yellow hilt, a straight-edged tsuba, and a trapezoidal pommel engraved with a cross, sheathed in a gray scabbard. Its exact properties are unknown, but in T Bone's hands it could loose flying slash attacks strong enough to fell a Sea King and to cut clean through ships. In the anime the blade trails blue streaks of light when swung.

His named techniques shape these slashes into precise forms. Chokkaku Senko: Bone Soir carves a right angle in the air before launching a clean rectangular cut, while Chokkaku Hicho: Bone Odori sends a beam-shaped slash that can ricochet off the air at sharp angles, appearing with a bird-shaped head at its tip.

Notable Users

T Bone, a Marine rear admiral, was the sword's owner. He used it aboard the Sea Train bound for Enies Lobby, striking at Sanji, Usopp, and Franky and attacking the Rocketman to slow its pursuit, until Roronoa Zoro broke the blade with his Gyuki: Yuzume. The weapon was apparently mended afterward, as T Bone was later seen carrying it again at Marineford.
