Luffy's six escapees emerge to a towering tree, snowbound peaks, and a long rope bridge linking the castle they fled to a point higher up. Two giants crossing it prove to be Gerd and Goldberg, who serve in the New Giant Warrior Pirates, grumbling over Road's place among them and branding him a worse disgrace than even Loki.
