Summary

Luffy's last strike rockets Crocodile up through the mausoleum ceiling, punches him through layers of bedrock, and flings him into the sky, toppling buildings on the way. Across the battlefield, Sanji spots the Warlord hurtling overhead and calls the others to look. Vivi watches him soar and recalls Luffy's earlier vow that beating Crocodile simply meant blasting him far enough away. Cobra, stunned that anyone could drive a foe through so much stone, stares in disbelief as Luffy himself begins to drop back down.

On the surface the Straw Hats celebrate their captain's triumph over a member of the Seven Warlords. Vivi screams for the bloodshed to stop now that the enemies are gone, but her voice goes unheard until rain abruptly pours from a clear sky. Tashigi marvels at the downpour as the combatants slowly lower their weapons and begin to listen.

Key Events

Luffy and Crocodile slam into the ground at nearly the same moment. With the rain reinforcing her words, Vivi urges everyone once more to lay down arms, and the war at last draws to a close as she declares the nightmare over. Down in the catacombs, the structure starts caving in, unable to hold against the force of Luffy's assault. Weakened by Crocodile's poison and the brutal fight, Luffy cannot move. Cobra crawls to his side and thanks him for saving the country, and Luffy answers that it was nothing before smiling.
