Chapter 220 of One Piece sends Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji diving through a sunken wreck just as Masira's crew begins hauling the same ship up from above, leading to a chaotic underwater collision that ends with a colossal sea turtle swallowing them whole.
On the surface, Masira waves cheerfully at the Straw Hats, who play along while secretly hiding the air pump that powers their diving gear. Beneath the waves, the three divers in barrel suits comb through a wrecked vessel, turning up an odd little boat, a snapped blade, and a portrait pierced by a spear, while a treasure chest proves nearly empty. Their poking around is cut short when Masira's salvage rig punches through the hull and begins forcing the wreck back toward daylight.
Luffy turns up an unfamiliar machine, later identified as a Waver, among the wreckage. Masira deploys his salvage apparatus, the Barco Hunter, which detaches a carved monkey figurehead and sinks down to clamp onto the cradle. By exhaling enormous lungfuls of air through a tube, Masira fills the wreck and lifts it. When his crewmen cry out about an intruder inside, he dives down himself, smashing a giant sea serpent aside with a Monkey Lunge. He then crashes in on the bewildered trio, trading goofy banter with Luffy moments before an enormous sea turtle opens its jaws and devours the entire ship.
The installment belongs to the Jaya arc. Its cover continues the Hatchan's Sea-Floor Stroll serial, in which Hatchan brings Octopako a final tray of takoyaki while Camie and Pappag remain wary. Camie, Pappag, Octopako, and Hatchan appear only on that cover.
