Chapter 259, "Pirate Zoro vs. Warrior Braham", settles the duel between the swordsman and the flash-gun Shandia with Zoro's new Flying Slash, then closes with Enel appearing on the Going Merry to strike down Sanji.
Braham torments Zoro with sudden leaps powered by a waver and blinding shots from his guns, even closing the gap instantly with a milky dial that trails cloud and knocks the swordsman down. A momentary lapse, when Zoro pauses to admire an eel he sliced, costs him a bullet to the leg. Trying goggles that fail to fool Braham, Zoro shrugs off the wound and resolves to neutralize the guns. He retreats to the forest floor, weathering the pain as he dodges, waiting for his opening.
Holding a single blade forward, Zoro recites the thirty-six earthly desires and tells Braham that against his pistol he wields a cannon greater in both reach and force. As Braham rides another milky dial in close, Zoro releases a tremendous flying slash, the One Sword Style: Sanjuroku Pound Ho, that cuts clean across Braham's chest and drops him unconscious. Re-shouldering his bag, Zoro tells the fallen warrior it was nothing personal, only that he refuses to wait around to be killed and fully intends to leave the jungle alive.
