Chapter 641

As Hody gloats over Decken's defeat and the plummeting ark, Fukaboshi warns that a mission begun ages ago would collapse should the ark flatten their home. A flashback to Neptune clarifies that Noah is no ordinary derelict: in an ancient pact, a certain "great man" was promised the vessel would rest on the ocean bed and wait for a destined day. Luffy vows to wreck the ark before it lands, but Fukaboshi insists it cannot be destroyed and that they must wake Decken to steer it aside. Hody strikes at Shirahoshi with Umidaiko, which Manboshi blocks, and Luffy grabs Hody from overhead, taking a bite to the shoulder before knocking him off, observing that his Armament Haki repels blunt force yet not piercing.

Realizing that what Luffy truly wants is the air trapped within Noah, Hody carves a wide rip in the bubble, and it starts to deflate. Fukaboshi, struggling to hold the bubble intact, lashes out with Ultramarine but is cut deeply, then grapples Hody and demands to know what he is, noting that a fish-man preaching revenge against humanity is now bent on wrecking his own people's island. Neptune reveals the ancient promise binding Noah to the seafloor until a destined day arrives. Like Arlong before him, Hody is shown regrowing teeth he has lost.
