Summary

As the Flower Capital throws its Fire Festival, the chapter reveals that even this prosperous city lives under dread of Orochi and Kaidou. The people have survived only by clinging to the hope that the Kouzuki Family might free their homeland, a belief many treat merely as comfort. Some wish the festivities would never end and quietly dream that, with the rulers gone, they could celebrate forever.

On Onigashima, Zoro, Drake, Chopper, and Robin watch samurai shot by Queen freeze into ice demons. Queen orders the tower doors sealed, naming his new virus the Ice Oni. Luffy fights his way up the castle, and Sanji downs several foes before Briscola, whose SMILE turned one hand into the top half of a gorilla, charges them. Sanji urges Luffy to conserve himself for Kaidou, and Jinbe arrives to defeat Briscola and escort the two upward.

Notes

On the rooftop, the bleeding Kaidou regains his feet as the Scabbards close in. He praises their tenacity, admitting they nearly let him glimpse Oden again, yet insists their cuts are too shallow to reopen his old wound. He answers with a roar of wind blades, one of which severs Kikunojo's left arm. The chapter exposes the capital's true feelings, introduces Queen's Ice Oni strain, and reveals Bao Huang's surveillance ability. The cover serial celebrates Gotti and Lola's wedding.
