Naoshi Komi, the creator of Nisekoi, drew this guest one-shot that reworks part of the Arabasta storyline. Standing as the second piece in the Cover Comic Project, it was put out to mark the series hitting 100 volumes.
Handled by Komi as a guest artist, the short returns to the Arabasta arc and reworks the chapters tied to Vivi's part in that conflict. It functions as a celebratory retelling instead of an original tale, reframing well-known scenes in the visiting creator's own style.
A couple of details shift from how the source chapters played out. This version leaves out the moment where Igaram finds Cobra after Terracotta has struck him, and Maidy is given no lines at all. Apart from those changes, the chapter sticks closely to the Arabasta material it draws upon.
The 48-page one-shot came out on August 30, 2021, paired with Chapter 1023, and it trailed Boichi's Zoro short as the Cover Comic Project's second entry. Komi's accompanying note looked back on how, as a child, he had dreamed of becoming a Straw Hat, and he sent his congratulations for the milestone of 100 volumes. On top of the chapter, he drew his own take on the Volume 23 cover as well as artwork of Vivi together with Luffy.
