Cruel Dragon

Cruel Dragon is a towering dragon bristling with spikes along its head and tail. Three pairs of vast wings spread from its back, and it bears four arms, six in the original webcomic, each ending in claws. Rows of jagged fangs line its jaws, and every eye holds three pupils.

Cold-blooded cruelty is what earned the creature its name. Long captivity only sharpened its hatred, leaving it consumed by the drive to erase humankind.

In ages past the dragon laid waste to the world and claimed countless lives, until a band of ancient soldiers, at heavy cost, weakened it and split its essence among nine stones. From then on a cult called Deathbone, convinced its members were descended from dragons, hunted the stones to revive the beast, while the order known as the Saints fought to stop them, a standoff that stretched across eight centuries. Saitama blundered into the feud, and after hearing both sides out he decided to release Cruel Dragon himself so he could kill it and spare the Saints their endless vigil.

The instant it woke, the dragon swore to annihilate humanity and lunged, only for Saitama to wipe it out in one strike. Its full power was never gauged, given the vague disaster level and the speed of its defeat, but it could scorch enormous stretches of land with its fire breath over the span of days, its wings pointed to flight, and its sheer size implied tremendous strength. A temple holding its head had surfaced from the sea earlier, dislodged when Garou's attack against Saitama shook the depths.
