Drive Knight

Long black hair falls behind a plain white mask that defines this hero's look. The mask breaks into a single horizontal band across the eyes, where one glowing red point burns at its center, and three short vertical gaps stand in for a mouth. His plating stays deliberately simple, echoing the armor of a medieval knight, though none of it holds fixed, since his Tactical Transformations reshape his entire body at will.

Everything about the knight is calculation. He gathers intelligence obsessively, valuing reconnaissance over the lives of the heroes fighting beside him, and he refuses to take any foe lightly no matter how weak it appears. Determined that no enemy who glimpses his methods should live to exploit them, he wipes out witnesses and shows monsters no mercy, willing even to torture them for information. Even so, a target that interests him enough may be worth capturing rather than killing, as his pursuit of Nyan shows.

He answers to no one, operating apart from the Association's directives, and Sekingar traces his self-assurance to a record of never having lost a fight. He reserves particular distrust for Metal Knight, openly branding Bofoi the traitor in the ranks, yet his elaborate reasoning never hardens into proof, which only turns suspicion back onto himself. Above all he is single-minded to the point of cruelty, as when he drops a critically overloaded Genos from a great height the moment his objective is met.

As an S-Class hero, Drive Knight fights with formidable power, having torn apart Tiger-level beings with ease and brought down the Dragon-level executive Nyan with relatively little harm to himself, though he credits that win partly to Nyan's recklessness and to the battle data he had collected in advance. His machine frame supplies immense strength, speed, and durability, and an internal energy core drives it all, one he can even merge with another cyborg's to push his output higher.

His signature weapon is the Tactical Transformation, powered by a tall shape-changing box packed with cybernetic parts that fuses to his body to form weapons and new shapes. Each configuration borrows its name from a shogi piece, among them the centaur-like Knight for speed, Silver for extending blades, the missile-firing motorbike Chariot with its dissolving fluid, the winged Flying Chariot, the armored Bishop, and Gold, which layers on plating and can superheat him to incinerate foes from within. He reads threat levels instinctively, selects the ideal form for each enemy as a master strategist, and can siphon electricity from power lines in an emergency, enough to black out part of Z-City. His one clear limit is a finite energy reserve that leaves him unable to fight once drained. The webcomic adds forms copied from other fighters, including a nearly powerless King form and a self-destructive Saitama form that he unleashes and loses with against the real thing.
