Hammerhead

Hammerhead is a towering, powerfully built man marked by a horizontal scar across the bridge of his nose. He keeps his scalp shaved like every other Paradiser and wears the same full-body, jet-black battle suit as his followers, though flame decals splashed over its torso and thighs single him out as their leader. For his job interviews, he traded that armor for an ordinary office suit in black and white.

What Hammerhead wants is a world where holding a job is optional and anyone unemployed is fully provided for. He simply hasn't the charisma to draw anyone to that idea beyond the small band already at his side, so he turns to terrorism to force the public's notice. The battle suit hands him his nerve; strip it away, and especially face to face with Saitama, he crumples into cowardice, though that mostly reflects the staggering power gap he faces, given that he once put twenty men in the hospital barehanded.

His revolutionary pitch fell flat on the passersby of F-City, so Hammerhead marched his suited crew off to level Zeniru's mansion, a place he treated as a monument to inequality. They flattened the wrong building first, battered aside Mumen Rider and the riot police, and then met trouble in the woods. Waiting among the trees around the estate was Zeniru's hired protector, Speed-o'-Sound Sonic, who cut the group off. Hammerhead spurned the demand to surrender and charged, and for it he watched his whole Paradise Group slaughtered and barely cheated death himself when a kunai sank into the back of his skull.

An abnormally thick skull kept him breathing. Bolting from the carnage, he ran headlong into Saitama, who was seething at being lumped in with the Paradisers. Hammerhead's suit-driven punch struck Saitama as pathetically feeble, and even cranked to full power the armor left him unmoved. Stirred by a flicker of pity, Saitama wrecked the suit rather than the man. Set loose and stripped bare, Hammerhead was then jumped and beaten near to death by robotic killers from a shadowy outfit called the Organization, and once more his hard head pulled him through. Weeping in a pool of his own blood, he thanked his mother for the sturdy skull and swore off his cause to look for a job.

He surfaced again outside an F-City employment office, where Sneck reported seeing him formally dressed and visibly jittery ahead of an interview, and later he was filling out an application as footage of A-City's destruction played. His toughness runs deeper than the skull alone: even suit-less he keeps formidable strength, senses sharp enough to have caught Sonic lurking in shadow, and a brawler's knack for bending his surroundings into choke points against an opponent.
