Insanely Mad is a Ninja Village graduate and one of the assassins in the Heavenly Ninja Party. Trained alongside Disorderly Chaos in the class named Fear, he joins the group in its campaign against Flashy Flash and its scheme for world domination under Empty Void.
Three broad scars cut across Mad's face in a pattern resembling the letter H. His hair hangs shaggy and unkempt, and shadow constantly hides his eyes. The webcomic arms him with a set of sharp claws instead.
In step with the rest of the Heavenly Ninja Party, Mad harbors a deep hatred for Flashy Flash over the destruction of the village. That bitterness sits oddly beside a respect for the place, which drilled him harshly and likely left him the scars he now bears.
Mad came out of the Ninja Village's twenty-first graduating class, named Fear, the same cohort that produced Disorderly Chaos, and he eventually signed on with the Heavenly Ninja Party. In the Neo Heroes Saga the party confronts Speed-o'-Sound Sonic at his hideout, spells out its bid for world domination, and reveals it answers to Empty Void, the figure it calls That Man. After Sonic fails to deliver Flashy Flash, the group interrupts the two fighters' duel and turns on both, tagging Sonic a traitor. Blast crashes in, scatters them, and teleports everyone to the hideout, where Saitama has already beaten the village leader. Mad and his comrades rush Saitama and are knocked flat one after another; impressed, the survivors try to claim him as a master, and once refused, Mad joins them in stalking the hero. In the Supreme Hero Arc he poses as a taxi driver to spy on Saitama more easily just before Sweet Mask meets the hero. His training leaves him with enhanced strength, speed, and reflexes, and he fights with a knife, or with claws in the webcomic. That webcomic version has him die with the whole party against Flashy Flash and Sonic.
