Kamikaze

A thin sliver of wood almost always juts from his lips, chewed absentmindedly. His black hair falls into a long ponytail, and a modest goatee frames dark eyes set above a firm jaw. A red hooded cloak, marked on the back with an atom, drapes open over a blue haori.

Beneath that lies a loose, traditional white robe cinched by a sash and a pair of haori cords. Both of his blades ride on the left side.

Almost everything he does carries a smug, teasing arrogance. When Saitama offers a handshake he refuses outright, saying he respects only the strong and would greet him properly once he climbs higher in S-Class. Call him middle-aged and you touch a nerve. Yet he treats his students with real care, pushing them hard; after Iaian lost an arm, he insisted the boy keep training as a swordsman.

Looking weak enrages him, and Sweet Mask's claim of superior strength nearly broke his composure. Around those he admires, such as Bang and his fellow master swordsmen, that pride yields to humility. He regards combat as play, taunting his prey mid-slash; once he waved off Rhino Wrestler after cutting him, then finished a second monster with only the grass blade clenched in his teeth.

His self-belief tends to overreach. Rescued from Black Sperm by Tatsumaki, he simply hurled himself back into the fight, convinced he could out-cut every duplicate the creature spawned, a conviction that cost him the match. He craves strong opponents, even challenging King out of sheer curiosity about how the man fights. He judges people by having them slice an apple, the method that earned him his three pupils, though he mistook King's frozen draw for flawless, invisible technique.

The Association counts him among its very strongest, and the wider world calls him the greatest swordsman alive. Superalloy Darkshine reckoned that Garou, still half-monster and yet to crack his limiter, would have fallen to the samurai before showing a single move. His apple test does more than pick recruits; it lets him read how a person has lived from one clean cut.

Speed defines his art. Foes are diced apart before they register the strike, he kept pace with Melzargard's blistering assault, and he cut a transformed Haragiri down so quickly the monster seemed to stand still despite boasting of faster-than-sound movement. Not even Speed-o'-Sound Sonic could track his draw, and when Rhino Wrestler was sliced, the Demon-level beast rambled on, oblivious to being cut in two. Sheer power backs the speed, described as nuclear-powered: he splits solid matter, throws shockwaves from one swing, and once carved a monster apart with just his toothpick. He is tough and tireless as well, surviving a savage mauling from the Dragon-level Black Sperm and holding out until Tatsumaki raised a barrier around him.

His named techniques flow from that base. Atomic Slash pours out more than a hundred strikes inside one second, something no rival swordsman can copy; the Air Blade launches a compressed gust from the blade; and the Atomic Beeline Slash funnels the flurry into a single overhead blow. He fights with a custom katana and a wakizashi, and once Fuhrer Ugly's acid ate through the katana he drew the legendary Sun Blade, twin to the Moon Blade and a treasure the Council of Swordmasters had long kept. Wielding it, he tore through a giant energy orb hurled by Homeless Emperor and, moments later, took Golden Sperm's arm clean off. As a mentor he has produced three elite students, Iaian, Okamaitachi, and Bushidrill, all near the summit of A-Class.
