Shadow Ring

Shadow Ring wraps herself entirely in purple ninja garb that hides both her face and her frame from view. Beneath the outfit she keeps her dark hair tied into pigtails, and she wears a mask over her eyes.

She comes across as quiet and reserved. Even so, watching Flashy Flash move at full speed clearly left an impression on her, and she openly admired the skill behind his ninjutsu.

Shadow Ring picked up ninjutsu at some undisclosed place, one separate from wherever Flashy Flash was trained. She is among the heroes drafted onto the support team for the Monster Association raid. When the monsters spring their ambush, she fights beside her comrades and cuts down several with her shuriken. One monster strikes at her back and appears to split her head, but the figure is a decoy; the real Shadow Ring reappears and lops the monster's head off in a single motion. Flashy Flash praises her footwork and asks which village trained her, and she answers that it was not his before diving back into the fray.

As the second wave brings Rhino Wrestler, she darts in and lands a blow with her ninjato, only for him to brush it aside and rate her a mere ten points out of a hundred. While Iaian pins the monster, she joins a group strike but is thrown clear along with the others. Later, after Rhino Wrestler is beaten and Atomic Samurai clears out a horde, she watches Flashy Flash cut down a cluster of monsters and marvels that she could not even track him.

Escorting Waganma to safety, the support group is set upon by Nyan, who downs several heroes. Shadow Ring snares the cat with a chain while Mizuki grips its tail, Green binds it with roots from below, and Monster Roper Shell loops a rope around its neck. Convinced it has them, Nyan taunts that it will kill Waganma before their eyes, but it slips free with sheer flexibility and rakes its captors with wounds that leave them incapacitated. She survives and later comes to on the evacuation helicopter as Sage Centipede attacks it. In the Psychic Sisters Arc she stands beside Lightning Max at the Hero Association headquarters when Saitama smashes Bofoi's defense robots, sending the heroes rushing off toward the alarm.

As an A-Class fighter she is skilled and powerful, earning Flashy Flash's compliments, though her reflexes could not match an S-Class hero's speed and she is outclassed by Demon-level monsters. She hits hard, moves and reacts with a ninja's quickness, and relies on trained ninjutsu, including a body-replacement trick that swaps her for a block of wood to throw off attackers. Her gear runs to classic ninja tools: a straight-bladed ninjato, a supply of shuriken, and a pair of tekko-kagi claws.
