Superalloy Darkshine

Darkshine is a towering slab of a man, broad and packed with muscle, his tanned skin polished to a constant gleam. A bald scalp tops a face marked by heavy brows, dark eyes, and full lips, and his entire wardrobe amounts to a single black speedo. Flexing pushes his physique to sizes that look almost impossible, and in the tension of a fight his sheer presence seems to swell, letting him loom over Puri-Puri Prisoner despite only a slight edge in real height. Lasting scars streak his hands and chest, burned there by Fuhrer Ugly's acid.

The imposing figure was not always so. In childhood he was a slight, fragile boy with light skin and black hair worn at medium length, a far cry from the giant he would build himself into.

Behind the intimidating build sits a calm man who would rather avoid a quarrel, often playing peacemaker when the ego heavy S-Class heroes gathered. He carries a streak of vanity all the same, once distracted during a meeting by wondering whether every eye was fixed on his frame and whether he was the shiniest one present. That self regard never curdles his decency, though. He holds genuine respect for the likes of Tatsumaki, King, and Genos, treats those around him with courtesy, and showed real tenderness toward the B-Class hero Mizuki, shielding her from monsters and urging her to rest. In combat he tends to wear the same empty, unbothered stare that mirrors Saitama, a sign of how little effort most opponents demand of him.

His confidence was manufactured through relentless training. As a boy he lost at every sport and doubted himself constantly, until years of lifting reshaped both his body and his ego into something proud and faintly arrogant. Garou punctured that armor, accusing him of merely playacting the hero, and the words landed hard because Darkshine realized he had never once fought a battle he expected to lose. His spirit rallied briefly when Sweet Mask and other heroes rekindled it during the clash with the Psykos and Orochi fusion, only to crumble again as Fuhrer Ugly's acid seared him and the shinier, bulkier Golden Sperm appeared. By the war's end fear had hollowed him out. He grew humble, stopped flaunting his muscles, lost faith in himself as a hero, and stepped away to instruct the Neo Heroes. Even so, his compassion held, and he warned a collapsed Garou to flee before Tatsumaki tore the enemy base from the earth.

Among the S-Class, Darkshine ranked as the single most physically capable member, his combination of size, toughness, and power placing him above heroes like Tanktop Master and Puri-Puri Prisoner and marking him as a peak of pure physical combat. Simulations from the Virtual Genocide System concluded he could bring down Carnage Kabuto in its Carnage Mode, and a mere graze from him could finish a foe on the order of the Deep Sea King.

His defense was called the finest in the hero world. Trained along a wholly different path than his fellow muscle heroes, his flesh acted as living armor that shrugged off the steel hard drills of Destrochloridium, the collapse of buildings during the assault on the Monster Association, and blow after blow from Garou. He blocked Garou's Cross Fang Dragon Slayer Fist, endured Sweet Mask's kicks without a mark, and dismissed Evil Natural Water's high pressure jets as a pleasant shower. Only Garou's refined internal strike, resembling a Great Fa Jin, drew blood from him, and even then he survived nearly unscathed. His body could also repel attacks outright through Shimmer, a property that let his glowing skin bounce Destrochloridium and Garou away.

Decades of extreme weightlifting gave him strength that defied measurement. Where he once hoisted two tons in one arm, he later reduced Destrochloridium to specks with a single clap, blew away Bug God's upper half with one punch, and shattered every rib in Garou's body with a lone tackle. He warmed up by squatting cars and trained in a chamber pulling fifteen times Earth's gravity. His speed matched his bulk, letting him track Garou's afterimages and outrun deadly liquid projectiles to shield Iaian. As a hand-to-hand fighter he stood alongside Silver Fang at the top of the association, wielding signature blows like the full power Superalloy Bazooka, its two fisted Superalloy Double Bazooka variant, and the diving Superalloy Missile kick. In the end, no physical wound broke him. His defeat came from fear and self doubt alone.
