Appearance

Standing an imposing 230 centimeters and packing 157 kilograms of muscle, Master cuts an enormous figure. His hair is a short dark blonde, his eyes brown. For gear he favors a blue singlet over long trousers, cinched by a belt whose buckle carries both his initials and an engraved tank top.

Personality

A chivalrous streak runs through him. He balked at leaving Tatsumaki to face enemies alone, dismissing the powerful esper as a little girl even though she is grown. He owns his losses without shame, as when that same psychic outclassed him during the Dark Matter Thieves' assault, yet he bristled when Saitama ranked his beating the worst of the bunch. Wisdom, pride, and real warmth toward his brothers and fellow heroes define him, a sharp contrast to the vain, grasping likes of Tanktop Tiger and Tanktop Black Hole. He will not tolerate rudeness from his ranks and scolded them for disrespecting Bang. His oddest conviction is that all true strength flows from the tank top, so much so that he assumed Bang must be hiding one under his robe. Being crushed by Garou finally shook that belief. Against the Monster Association he showed his best, helping Pig God rescue Narinki's Private Squad and holding his ground against two Dragon-level threats. When a monstrous Sweet Mask saved him, he kept addressing the man by his hero name, valuing deeds over whether someone counts as human or monster.

Abilities

As an S-Class hero, Master sits among both the association's strongest and the most physically powerful people alive. In his duel with Garou he did more than survive, seizing the advantage through the early and middle stretches before the Hero Hunter's refined martial arts turned the tables; Garou reckoned his raw strength on par with an upgraded Genos. Against the Monster Association's Dragon-level executives, however, he was outmatched, overpowered by Fuhrer Ugly and Gums.

His strength borders on the absurd. He has flung a huge slab of concrete across a great distance at the Dark Matter Thieves' descending ship, cracked the earth with one punch to stagger Garou, suplexed a Bofoi drone, and shoved back a giant construction unit with his arms alone. Even while nursing wounds he sent the monster Gyoffrey crashing through a wall with a tackle. He boasts more tanktop power than his entire army put together, a claim backed by hurling a transmission tower through the air and, with a boost from Fubuki, chucking rubble and a whole building at the fused Psykos and Orochi. He endured being gnawed by Gums, a beast that crushes heavy machinery. His speed matched the feats, startling Garou, outrunning a plummeting spacecraft, and even riding his own thrown projectiles through the air in a kind of pseudo-flight. Blows that flattened his squadmates in a single hit could not keep him down, and he could sense the malice radiating off Garou.

One stranger trick involves loosening his tank top to swell his lung capacity. Using this Tanktop Deep Breath, he sucked in a vast cloud of Heavy Smoker's toxic haze over N-City to spare bystanders, drawing a comparison to a vacuum pump from Flash; the poison hurt him badly yet failed to kill him outright. His striking repertoire runs on power over finesse and includes the Tanktop Blow, the guarding Tanktop Tackle, and the Tanktop Punch. He also throws heavy objects with pinpoint aim, a skill so reliable it anchored the plan to bring down the Psykos and Orochi fusion. His signature blue tank top is wound so tightly it once jolted his heart back to life like a defibrillator when it snapped free of Bang's grip, and a webcomic variant squeezes out extra power at the cost of suffocating him within three minutes.
