Overview
Founded by Dr. Genus, the House of Evolution devoted itself to a single obsession: engineering a perfected form of humanity through artificial evolution. Every worker inside was a clone of the doctor himself. Judging by the makeup of its creations, the group leaned heavily on splicing human subjects with the genes of other creatures. It holds the distinction of being the very first organization the series introduces, and the first threat Saitama confronted after taking Genos on as his pupil.
Role
The group operated from a narrow, eight-story tower hidden in a forest, its floors connected to sprawling laboratories buried underground. Below the surface lay a vast chamber for trialing new specimens and a cell built to hold Carnage Kabuto. The above-ground portion did not last long, reduced to rubble by Genos the moment he and Saitama showed up.
The trouble began when Dr. Genus dispatched Mosquito Girl to gather blood and scout for strong fighters. She drew out Genos, shrugged off his assault by draining the blood she had collected, and nearly killed him before Saitama stepped in and destroyed her. The doctor then sent six of his monsters to seize Saitama; all but Armored Gorilla died. Four hours later the pair reached the base, where Genos flattened the trap-laden tower on arrival. Left with no choice, Dr. Genus unleashed Carnage Kabuto, who overpowered Genos yet stood no chance against Saitama and was slain.
With its headquarters half-wrecked and its finest creations dead or beaten, the organization was left effectively finished. Dr. Genus and a handful of surviving clones abandoned the research altogether, shaken by how effortlessly the impossibly strong Saitama had crushed Carnage Kabuto, their crowning achievement. The doctor now runs a takoyaki shop with Armored Gorilla and Mosquito Girl at his side.
Notable Members
Dr. Genus led the House of Evolution and now lives inactive as a shopkeeper. His monsters met varied ends: Carnage Kabuto, Beast King, Kamakyuri, Ground Dragon, Frog Man, and Slugerous all died, while Armored Gorilla and Mosquito Girl survived to join him in retirement. One creation, Subject No. 66, walked away from the group entirely and would go on to become the hero Zombieman.
