Neo Hunters

Grief is the thread that binds this group together, as its ranks are filled with individuals whose loved ones were killed in monster attacks. Originally operating as vigilantes under the plain name Hunters, they have since become a component of the Neo Heroes while keeping their own identity.

Their mission is to shield ordinary citizens from Mysterious Beings without relying on the Hero Association, acting as an independent line of defense. Accel both founded the organization and continues to lead it.

The group's independence is tested early when Shizuka, a Hero Association scout, approaches Accel with an offer to absorb the Hunters in return for money and medical aid. Accel refuses on the spot, calling out the Association's failure to deal with current threats and its fading concern for regular people.

In the field, the Neo Hunters first appear taking on Explosive Velocity Snail, with Accel luring the giant snail onto a sealed stretch of highway where the team spears it to death, all of them praising how well the Neo Heroes battle suits and weapons perform. Later they cut down Gogoogigo and his minions during the attack on V-City. That success turns to disaster when, during a roll call, their own suits seize control and turn them against Accel, who flees, is nearly cornered, and is rescued by Tanktop Master before the hero neutralizes the whole possessed group.

Accel stands as the group's founder and leader, and he is the only member named in the source. The Neo Hunters otherwise fight as an anonymous body of skilled combatants.

At full strength the group fielded 53 fighters strong enough to face Demon-level threats, favoring spears as their primary weapon. After one costly engagement they lost five of their number, leaving a standing force of 48.
