Metal Series

This unit gathers Bofoi's top-tier robots into a single rapid-response force meant to neutralize enemies with speed. Six advanced machines make up the roster, and their creator holds the group in high regard, viewing it as a decisive tool for crushing dangerous foes with little trouble.

The lineup splits between two body styles. Metal Pawn, Metal Rook, Metal King, and Metal Knight take humanoid forms, while Metal Queen and Metal Bishop are built along unusual non-humanoid lines. Though each can be piloted remotely, all of them are also capable of fighting on their own.

The squad's strength lies in teamwork. Its members are tightly coordinated and can pull off joint combat maneuvers, layering their attacks to overwhelm a single target. Combined with the ability to switch between remote control and autonomous action, this makes the group function as a flexible, self-directing assault force rather than a set of individual units.

Bofoi leads the series and operates out of his own base, working alongside the Hero Association. When Child Emperor came to that base and clashed with him over his suspected role in the robot invasion, the young hero summoned his trump card, the Super Brave Giant. Bofoi immediately sent the whole Metal Series into the fight. The squad's combined assault steadily tore the giant down, reducing Child Emperor to tears, until Genos raced in and punched through the machine to end the confrontation. The six named members are Metal Knight, Metal Rook, Metal Pawn, Metal Queen, Metal King, and Metal Bishop.
