Jupiter, the Bringer of Jollity

From a distance, Bang, Bomb, and Genos watch Homeless Emperor's storm of energy orbs run Tatsumaki down and seemingly finish her. The kill proves false. During the chase she had quietly traded places with a decoy, and the genuine psychic, drained by her wounds, reappears in front of the group alongside Fubuki. Seeing how badly her younger sister has been hurt sends Tatsumaki into a rage, which Fubuki manages to soothe.

Fubuki begs her to stay out of the fighting, but Tatsumaki refuses, admitting aloud how much her sister has matured before flying back toward the enemy. Genos steps in to reassure the tearful Fubuki and volunteers to back Tatsumaki up. Worried the cyborg will overextend, Bang chooses to go with him, leaving Bomb to guard Fubuki and to signal at once if Garou surfaces. The Council of Swordmasters and Spring Mustachio arrive to reinforce the heroes against the surviving monsters.

Elsewhere the clash with Gums turns brutal. Tanktop Master keeps dodging its jaws only because Pig God rams the creature and forces it to spit him out. The heroes then see Fuhrer Ugly seize one of Narinki's Private Squad and tear the man's arm off, and in that opening Gums clamps down on Tanktop Master a second time. Tatsumaki draws Fuhrer Ugly's attention long enough to pull the hostage clear, while Pig God again frees Tanktop Master by tackling Gums.

Tanktop Master hurls Pig God off with an order to tell Mumen Rider that the heroes will win, then throws himself at Fuhrer Ugly with a Tanktop Tackle. A single counterpunch splinters both of his forearms. Still swearing by the invincibility of his tanktop, he is battered without mercy, left broken and bleeding, and finally devoured by Gums. Fuhrer Ugly turns toward the badly injured Tatsumaki lying on a nearby rock.

The chapter borrows its title from the fourth movement of Gustav Holst's orchestral suite The Planets. Homeless Emperor plays into the theme, striking poses that mimic a conductor and peppering his taunts with musical language, asking Black Sperm whether he has heard a symphony and promising to finish Tatsumaki in the second movement.

The name may also nod to God, since Psykos once likened God's form to Jupiter, and Homeless Emperor holds the spotlight throughout the chapter. This is the online release version, corresponding to the volume edition published as the 148th chapter.
