Summary

Sensing the raw power pouring off the Deep Sea King, Puri-Puri Prisoner grows eager for the fight and throws himself at the monster while Sonic looks on. The Prisoner absorbs punishing blows and finally unleashes his Angel Style transformation, but even that boost changes nothing, and the Sea King leaves him beaten. Sonic and the invader trade a few words before their own duel begins, and as rain starts to fall, the assassin's blinding speed appears to give him the edge.

The advantage does not last. The Sea King surges in size, muscle, and quickness, turning the exchange around. A brief television cutaway shows Sweet Mask sharing his personal notion of what it means to be a hero. Back at the fight, the monster runs Sonic down and manages to seize him, only for Sonic to wriggle out of his grip and abandon his shredded clothing. He warns the King that their next meeting will be his last, then bumps into Genos on his way to recover his weapons and sneers at the cyborg's record as a hero.

Left free to roam, the Deep Sea King picks out a public shelter and punches straight through its wall with no effort. Before he can turn on the people inside, the C-Class hero All Back-Man steps in to challenge him. He is soon joined by the B-Class Jet Nice Guy, the C-Class Bunbun Man, and the A-Class Sneck, and the chapter closes with the sheltered crowd cheering as the heroes brace for battle.
