Struggle of the Blizzard Group

The Blizzard Group needs to replace their car, and Fubuki points out that the piles of nearby job flyers could add up to the five million they need if everyone pitches in. The members throw themselves into odd jobs for a full week yet only scrape together three and a half million between them. Fubuki, meanwhile, has pulled in two million on her own, pushing the total past the goal.

Baffled by her haul, the group asks how she managed it, and she cryptically explains that she put her body on the line. The remark is badly misread until she produces the stack of completed bounty flyers behind her earnings. With the money in hand, they finally buy a new vehicle. Almost immediately a monster alert comes in, and the team rushes out in the new car, only to get bogged down in traffic. Saitama ends up defeating the monster before they can arrive.

Fubuki proposes funding a new car through part-time work. A week of effort nets the group three and a half million, while Fubuki alone earns two million from bounties, clearing the target. Her ambiguous phrasing is misunderstood before she reveals the completed flyers. The team buys the car but is stuck in traffic on a monster call, leaving Saitama to finish the fight.

Released on August 16, 2014, this seven-page bonus chapter accompanies the ninth volume and appears under the Viz title The Blizzard Bunch In Hard Times. Cover characters are Mountain Ape, Fubuki, Eyelashes, and Lily, with Hyaha Axe and Saitama also appearing. It follows Seven-Eleven and precedes Catch & Smash.
