Overview

For the antagonists of the R season, this force is both weapon and lifeblood, the root from which their various techniques grow. In its ordinary state it manifests as dark, crackling bolts, and its energy nature ties it to the clan's larger assault on the timeline that leads to Crystal Tokyo.

Mechanics

Much of the season's plot hinges on how the villains deploy it. The Spectre Sisters each try to taint the Crystal Points scattered across twentieth century Tokyo, aiming to collapse the anchors of the future city; ruining those spots would erode the defenses that the guardians of the thirtieth century maintain, opening the door to conquest, though every sister ultimately fails. Esmeraude adds another wrinkle by planting a Dark Henge at chosen Negative Points, feeding it the energy until it swells and tears open a Dark Gate at the site.
