Garnet Ball

Character

Garnet Ball is Sailor Pluto's protective technique, a barrier drawn from the power of the Garnet Orb. Rather than striking a foe, it wraps allies inside an energy sphere, filling the same guardian role that Sailor Saturn covers with her Silence Wall.

Overview

Garnet Ball belongs to Setsuna Meiou in her Sailor Pluto form and works purely as a shield rather than an offensive strike. Channeling the Garnet Orb she carries, she conjures a globe of energy around whoever needs cover. The manga shows it only a single time, when it saves a cornered group from a collapse of falling wreckage.

Mechanics

The move raises a dense wall of pure energy able to soak up heavy punishment, closely echoing how the Silence Wall behaves. In the sequence that carries over into Crystal, debris rains down while Pluto lifts the Garnet Orb and seals Sailor Moon, Sailor Uranus, and Sailor Neptune inside a pink globe. That orb lifts them clear, and once the crashing rubble finishes exploding below, the sphere bursts open and leaves everyone unharmed.

Notable Users

Setsuna Meiou is the lone practitioner, using it to protect herself alongside Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune, and Sailor Moon. Its dependence on the Garnet Orb ties the barrier directly to Pluto's signature treasure, and its effect stands as a near twin to Sailor Saturn's Silence Wall.
