Saturn Crystal Power, Make Up

This is the only chant through which Hotaru Tomoe becomes Sailor Saturn, and it recurs in the manga, the Crystal films, and the Sera Myu musicals. Paired with the Saturn Crystal, it first grants her the Super form and, in time, carries her to the Eternal form once she lends power to Sailor Moon's Holy Moon Chalice by drawing on Titan Castle.

To set it off she lifts her hand, calls the phrase, and changes shape in a single moment. Its debut follows her reawakening, when she and the other Outer Guardians appear at the gates of the Dead Moon Circus and rescue the Inner Guardians from the Amazoness Quartet. Later she shortens the cry to 'Saturn Crystal Power' to pour energy into Eternal Sailor Moon's Eternal Tiare, rising into her own Eternal form beside her comrades. During the Stars arc she is shown already in that Eternal form while wearing Galactica Bracelets, cut down by Sailor Galaxia before she can ever speak the words, though the same phrase is assumed to apply.

Hotaru Tomoe alone uses it, since no other character shares the Saturn Crystal. The film Sailor Moon Eternal delivered her first fully animated transformation, a sequence that nods back to the Saturn Planet Power, Make Up animation built for the Sega Saturn and PlayStation games.
