This gag technique surfaces only within the pages of Codename: Sailor V, the side story that predates Minako Aino's later career as a full guardian. Its first showing comes in the eleventh volume, in the opening pet chapter centered on Nyan-Nyan's scheming.
Mechanics
Sailor V calls up sulphuric fumes said to come from the planet Venus and lets them loose on her opponents, whose senses buckle under the smell long enough to leave them helpless. The stink alone does the work, incapacitating villains without a physical blow.
