Glycina

In her dormant state Glycina looks like nothing more than a small pink flower. Once roused she swells into a hulking beast propped on six green, insect-like limbs, with vines she can extend to snare and squeeze her prey.

She operates on pure appetite, seeding controlling plants across the city and locking onto any target within reach, the young Chibiusa included. Her single focus is draining human energy for her master.

The Guardians are heading to class when they find the streets of Tokyo full of drained, zombie-like people who turn on them. The culprit is a rash of strange plants clinging to the victims, and Rei burns them away with her ofuda. Ami warns that the true energy source is still close, and her computer traces it to a small pink flower. The bloom rears up into a six-legged monster and charges at Chibiusa, forcing Usagi to tackle the girl clear through a shop window. When Rei and Ami are seized and drained, Luna sends Minako and Makoto into battle as Sailor Venus and Sailor Jupiter, whose Venus Love Me Chain and Sparkling Wide Pressure free the others. Glycina then snares all four in her vines until Sailor Moon slices them apart with her tiara. Sailor Mars follows with Burning Mandala and Sailor Mercury freezes the creature with Shine Aqua Illusion, leaving Sailor Moon to end her with Moon Princess Halation. She holds the distinction of being the first movie-only monster and the only one to fall to that particular attack.
