History
Yamada competes in motocross events, among them races against Haruka. His crew resents losing to a woman and moves to attack her; Yamada orders them off, but they defy him and chase Haruka and Usagi into the forest, intent on running the pair down as Haruka rides her motorcycle. Later, while training near a waterfall, Yamada is set upon by the daimon Taiyan and has his Pure Heart Crystal drawn out. Sailor Neptune rescues him quickly, though the whole ordeal proves to be a ploy to flush out the guardians. Once his crystal is returned, he takes no further part in the episode.
