Murido

Murido keeps two starkly different guises. As a human she has curly, pale-pink hair set above light blue eyes; a gold-trimmed gown in tones of white, pink, and blue clothes her, and a golden circlet rests on her brow, giving off the sweet, storybook air of a fairy-tale princess. Her monster shape keeps that same hair but transforms everything else: her skin turns a sickly greenish-yellow, her eyes shine green, a red claw-like crown replaces the circlet, and her outfit shifts to black and red, evoking a ball-jointed doll. The whole design borrows from Snow White, marrying an innocent charm to the venom of the Evil Queen.

In her mascot role Murido comes across as charming and hospitable, reeling park guests in with rides, clockwork animals, and an endless supply of sweets. That friendliness masks a cold, hunting nature: to her the visitors are merely a reservoir of youth and vitality to be drained for her own gain. Everything about her method rests on seduction and deceit, offering comfort right up to the moment she robs her victims of their strength.

Queen Beryl grows testy with Jadeite the moment he reveals that Sailor Mars has sided with the guardians, and in response he plots to snare the trio inside a freshly opened amusement park, Dream Land, where fifty visitors have already gone missing. Bored of being shut indoors and sensing something is off, Ami suggests a look around and heads there with Usagi and Rei. Jadeite calls up Murido to collect energy toward reviving Queen Metalia, and she slips into the part of the park's mascot, delighting crowds with rides and apple-driven mechanical animals while running parties within the Sweet Dream Factory. Guests coaxed inside with sweets are asked if they are having fun, then hit with a red mist she breathes out that sinks them into a controllable dream, letting her pull their energy off through the apple.

When Luna divides the group to cover more ground, Ami is caught and drained at one of those parties. Rei picks up on the danger, and the two of them transform. Sailor Mars tears the sealed factory door open with Fire Soul, only for Murido to fog both guardians in her mist and drop them into a flower-field vision; a wreath she offers transforms into a serpent that sinks its fangs into Sailor Mars's arm, and though the venom starts petrifying her she escapes it with Akuryo Taisan. A second illusion conjures Tuxedo Mask, and Murido is on the verge of destroying them with the cursed apple, only for the genuine Tuxedo Mask to bat the fruit away with a thrown rose. Outmatched, the two fall back and locate Ami, who becomes Sailor Mercury; her Bubble Spray clouds the monster, Sailor Mars locks her in place with Akuryo Taisan, and a paired strike, Moon Tiara Action together with Fire Soul, at last brings her down. With Murido destroyed, the Sweet Dream Factory and the energy-laden apple both vanish, leaving Jadeite to carry word of another loss to Queen Beryl.
