Sailor Animamates

Every Animamate is built on the same naming template, Sailor followed by a metal and then an animal, and each of their costumes tucks a yellow star somewhere into the design. They wear guardian-style uniforms, though they are counterfeits rather than the genuine article.

What binds them is a manufactured devotion. The Galactica Bracelets that grant their power also warp them into fanatics, hungry to be recognized as true guardians and willing to kill toward that end. Ruthlessness runs through the whole group, a shared trait of Shadow Galactica's servants.

The roster centers on Sailor Iron Mouse, Sailor Aluminum Siren, Sailor Lead Crow, Sailor Tin Nyanko, and Sailor Heavy Metal Papillon, with Sailor Pewter Fox and Sailor Titanium Kerokko added only for the stage musicals. In the manga and Crystal they are not born guardians but young women plucked from planets Galaxia has laid waste, each drawn from a different world such as Chu, Mermaid, Coronis, Mau, and Cocoon. A pair of Galactica Bracelets lends them a Sailor Crystal's power, and they report through Sailor Phi, who passes down Galaxia's orders to gather the Sailor Crystals of Earth. One after another they try and fall, and Galaxia coldly turns their failures into openings to seize the crystals of the inner guardians. The anime reframes them as searchers for true star seeds who masquerade as staff of the Ginga TV station, dumping the corrupted victims of failed seeds as rampaging Phages; there they are implied to have once been good guardians twisted by Galaxia, and they are quietly restored when she is finally purified and the stolen seeds go home. The musicals swap them in and out, sometimes trading them for Sailors Phi, Chi, and Theta, though Iron Mouse is a constant whenever the group appears.
