Sailor Leaguer's design lifts straight from a softball uniform, with actual softballs worked into the costume as decoration.
History
During a rained-out softball match at Juban Public High School, Lead Crow catches Sonoko alone outside and pulls her Star Seed free. The seed reads as a blank, so the girl warps into the Phage Sailor Leaguer. Once Sailor Moon arrives, the creature flings a bat at her and then buries her under a barrage of fastballs. Sailor Moon dodges most of them, even swatting one back hard enough to crack it against the Phage's head and daze her. Freshly powered up by Sailor Chibi Chibi, Sailor Moon then restores Sonoko with Silver Moon Crystal Power Kiss, which makes Leaguer the first Phage cured by that upgraded attack.
