Appearance

Because a rose gave rise to her, U-Bara wears botanical features from head to toe. Pale violet colors her skin, her arms and legs are black, and dark petal-shapes cover her chest. A broad skirt modeled on a yellow rose petal drapes her lower body, and orange hair gathers into a petal at the crown of her head. Thorns of red slide in and out along her frame, and when her arms are cut away she grows crimson vines in their stead.

Abilities

In a fight she pitches keen yellow roses at her foes, a move that leads Tuxedo Mask to accuse her of copying him, and she coils vines around anyone nearby. The thorns lining her body and the vines that erupt from her severed arms let her ensnare and hold her targets.

History

Mimete carries U-Bara to Yoshiki Kurebayashi, a man who raises roses, so the Daimon can claim his Pure Heart, which she draws out and devours. Tuxedo Mask, Sailor Moon, and Sailor Chibi Moon take her on, but every one of them ends up snared in her vines. Hotaru tears the tangle apart with her power, freeing Sailor Moon to reach her Super form; a burst of Rainbow Moon Heartache then finishes the Daimon and sets the Pure Heart loose without a scratch. In keeping with a foe who aped Tuxedo Mask, her remains leave a rose standing upright in the earth, just as his thrown blossoms do.
