Utonberino

This Cardian shows pale white skin set against dark clothing, topped by a shaggy mane colored in reds and browns. One of her arms ends in a mounted cannon, while the other clutches what looks like a piece of food. The English DiC release renamed her Mophead, a nod to the way her hair resembles a mop.

She functions as little more than a living restraint, built to entangle and pin down rather than to reason or scheme. Her signature trick fires seaweed from the arm cannon, wrapping opponents in binding strands so they cannot break free or strike back.

The clash begins when An spots Makoto sharing a meal with Ail and flares up with jealousy, lashing out at the pair. As Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury reach the scene, Ail secretly assumes his true shape and calls up Utonberino. The Cardian seals Moon and Mercury inside a knot of seaweed and pins Sailor Jupiter down before she can attack, until the Moonlight Knight cuts Jupiter loose and she blasts the monster with a fierce new thunder technique. Sailor Venus and Sailor Mars then arrive; a Crescent Beam goes wide, but Mars burns away the seaweed prison with Fire Soul, scorching her trapped teammates in the process. Sailor Moon closes out the fight, wiping out Utonberino with Moon Princess Halation.
