An old acquaintance of Mamoru's, an aspiring lawyer named Saori who is quietly in love with him, comes to visit and looks down on Usagi. She sets out to confess her feelings, oblivious both to the friend who loves her and to Tiger's Eye moving in on her.
Two figures from Mamoru's past drop by to see him, one of them the promising law student Saori, who nurses a strong crush on him. Warm-hearted but rather self-righteous, she is decidedly unimpressed by Usagi and resolves to confess to Mamoru regardless. What she does not realize is that her male companion already carries feelings for her, and that Tiger's Eye is quietly circling her as his next prey.
Saori's plan to declare herself runs headlong into the day's monster attack. When the creature nearly takes her down and leaves her helpless, she hears Mamoru cry out Usagi's name in alarm, and the moment tells her more than any confession could. That realization becomes one of the ways an outsider pieces together Usagi's secret identity as Sailor Moon, and it forces Saori to reconsider where she really stands with Mamoru.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

There are no women on Namek. That isn't an oversight, it's the biology. Why we handed Piccolo the one thing his own species rules out, and why it had to be trap soul....
The episode counts Saori among the handful of characters who work out that Usagi is Sailor Moon. In the CWi and Viz English versions, Tiger's Eye's cover story is altered from an English-speaking tourist to a visitor from France, and the CWi track even has him deliver his countdown in French. Another small change swaps a bit about mistaken dog toys for a simpler line in which Reeny just dislikes both stuffed animals.
This episode makes it clear that he does. When a monster nearly harms Usagi, Mamoru cries out her name in alarm, and that single reaction convinces Saori, who had a crush on him, that Mamoru's true feelings lie with Usagi.
