Usagi's Parental Love: The Curry Romance Triangle

With Kenji and Ikuko unable to make Chibiusa's school curry potluck, Usagi steps in to cook, though the homesick girl wants nothing to do with her help and pines for her real parents. Neither of them actually knows how to make curry, so the pair set off with Mamoru to buy ingredients. The supermarket, however, is the next Crystal Point targeted by the Spectre Sisters Petz and Calaveras, whose droid is draining and spoiling everything inside.

Rubeus points the sisters toward the market, where Petz and Calaveras hand out dark fruit samples that brainwash shoppers and let Avocadora siphon their energy. Usagi, Mamoru, and Chibiusa arrive to find the food, and even the metal, rotting away, and Luna urges them to look closer.

Usagi transforms and rescues Luna from the droid as Sailor Mars appears, and Tuxedo Mask shields the guardians from its Peeled Lychee Grenade. The full team gathers, Burning Mandala fails while the sisters bicker, and Sailor Moon's Moon Princess Halation finishes Avocadora, sending the pair into retreat. The store and its customers snap back to normal, and Usagi's curry turns out well after all.

None of these events appear in the manga. This marks Usagi's second time cooking curry in the anime, after episode 45, where the results for her family were disastrous. Kenji Tsukino makes his final appearance here. The DiC dub cut a moment where Minako fears she nicked off her fingertip while chopping carrots, though that footage still surfaced in a Sailor Says safety segment.
