Kindaka

Middle-aged and built to no particular extreme, Kindaka stands out through long orange hair combed back, sharp brows, a short scruffy beard, and deep-set dark eyes behind 3D glasses. Black utility straps sit over his sweater, a dark grey piece patterned with stripes, and he rounds the outfit out with black trousers and his signature Lightspeed Shoes. Through his coma he lies in a bluish-grey hospital shirt, and once awake he trades the old glasses for goggles of much the same design and switches to laced shoes.

A steady calm marks Kindaka. Even as Sakamoto and the others wound him gravely he holds no anger toward them, countering with an offer instead, and he shows real regard for innocent bystanders, keeping clear of Uzuki when he judged the boy an outsider and handing Sakamoto the task of coaxing a laugh out of the chairman's daughter.

At some unknown point Kindaka joined Satoru Yotsumura in founding the Order, when only four of its members worked inside Japan and its ranks included Hyo, Yotsumura, and Oki. He handled the troublesome students the JCC wanted rid of, either killing them or, by their skill, offering them a place, which is how Nagumo, Sakamoto, Rion, and Uzuki came aboard. A confrontation with Uzuki then left him comatose for more than eight years, throughout which Nagumo footed his life support and checked on him often. Waking, he learns he owes Nagumo some 1.15 billion and works to pay it off by hunting big bounties, among them the one on Sakamoto, which draws him toward Sakamoto, Shin, and Heisuke, and later he reunites with Yotsumura.

Widely held to be the fastest assassin alive, a claim even the sitting Order leader Oki still grants him, Kindaka fuses freakish natural speed with his velcro Lightspeed Shoes, marked onsoku. Neither Nagumo nor Sakamoto could stay with him at full pace, and only Uzuki's foresight ever tracked him. He flings grown men aside with barely any effort, reads incoming gunfire in time to slip it, and even endured Kobayashi's deadly poison, though that poison is what sank him into the long coma. Strikingly, those eight motionless years cost him none of his speed once he returned.
