Mad Horiguchi

Horiguchi is a gaunt, towering man whose messy grey hair sits above hollow cheeks and thin brows, his eyes hidden behind round-lensed sunglasses. He pairs dark blue trousers and boots with a side-buttoned white lab coat marked by a large black X at the hem, and a bracelet on his arm runs his equipment. Six syringes loaded with purple, green, and yellow fluid jut from his shoulders. Once he transforms, his frame swells into something far bulkier, leaving him in nothing but a pair of torn pants.

Restless and consumed by science, Horiguchi rambles about physics and blood even mid-fight, and he is a pronounced sadomasochist on top of it. He relishes the taste of blood, going so far as to swig it straight from a blood bag, a habit that hints he may practice cannibalism.

As his title suggests, Horiguchi is highly intelligent and tactically shrewd, wielding an assortment of chemicals and devices to seize an edge over powerhouses like Sakamoto and Shin, though he clearly prefers technology to trading blows. He moves with startling quickness, fast enough to stab a man before the victim registers the wound and to jab Sakamoto even while being punched, and he weathers repeated blows to the face that would leave others out cold.

His toolkit centers on two inventions. One is a syringe that plants an electrode in a target's skull, scrambling brain signals so that speech garbles or the victim's sense of who to attack goes haywire. The other is a serum that packs on muscle and boosts strength on injection, its effect fading soon after, and the syringes riding his shoulders appear to hold the same compound. During the museum clash he turns both against Sakamoto and Shin before a final punch shatters his enhanced form and knocks him cold.
