Nao Toramaru

Toramaru dresses in a schoolgirl's outfit built around a white blouse and bow, layered under a sleeveless black cardigan and paired with an ankle-length dark skirt, dark socks, and a satchel. Two lengthy white braids trail from otherwise black hair that spills across her brow in a fringe. Her pale violet eyes are set with unusual cross-shaped pupils.

An unapologetic otaku, Toramaru pours her energy into idolizing Taro Sakamoto, an infatuation that only briefly wavers before roaring back. Her sweet, harmless exterior masks something far colder; provoke her, and she turns vicious, dispatching foes without a flicker of hesitation.

As a child, Toramaru witnessed a younger Sakamoto in combat and came away spellbound by his cool, merciless poise, cementing him as her idol. Years later she joined the JCC transfer exams while chasing a complete set of ribbons, clashing repeatedly with Shin Asakura's team. Discovering that Shin also revered Sakamoto enraged her, since she refused to share her hero, and she hounded him until he outwitted her and sent her tumbling into a waterfall. Shin then pulled her from drowning, earning her grudging respect.

When Sakamoto tended her wounds during the exam, his skilled hands stirred memories of his prime, yet his current heavyset form left her unable to recognize him; the reveal of his identity crushed her, and she walked away from her fandom. Devotion returned during the Assassin Exhibition of the Century, where she was planted as one of X's assassins with a bomb sewn inside her. Rather than abandon her, Sakamoto shielded her and fought off attackers, urging her to become her own biggest fan, though she chose to idolize him once more. In battle she is lethal at any range, swinging a weapon that fuses a firearm with an axe, and her speed lets her drop grown men and shear through trees in an instant.
