Uda

Uda was a tall, slender man in his early thirties who kept his dark blue hair slicked back. Sharp brows framed small brown eyes ringed at the pupil, drawn instead as black eyes with pale pupils in the manga. He accessorized with red rectangular earrings and a piercing below his mouth, dressing in a white shirt and red tie under a black business suit, his shoes matching the same tone.

Composed by nature, Uda held firm loyalty to Slur. An arrogant streak ran through him too, cold enough that he gunned down fellow JAA guards for no reason at all just before stepping off the elevator to meet his master. He was also prone to dressing up the truth about the association's future whenever doing so served his own ends.

Before the series began, Uda taught at the Al-Kamar Orphanage and fled it alongside Gaku, Kumanomi, Haruma, Tenkyu, and Gozu, later apparently rebuilt as a cyborg with a weapon sealed inside his body. He spent his years in the JAA as Slur's planted spy. When Slur stormed the association's Tokyo branch, Uda dropped the pretense, shooting his colleagues and clashing with Apart, Shin, and Takamura across the raid. A crack sharpshooter who liked to fire at close quarters, he took aim at the old swordsman Takamura, only to have his trigger finger severed and his throat run through. In his final act he yanked his tie to trigger the bomb built into his chest, a blast strong enough to gut much of a building floor, sacrificing himself to stall Takamura and buy Slur and Gaku their opening to escape.
