Episode 5: Source of Strength

Trapped inside the amusement park's haunted house, Sakamoto and his companions face Dondenkai's Boiled and Obiguro. As the clash with Boiled wears on, long-buried memories of his years in the killing trade come rushing back, and the drive to shield his loved ones pushes Sakamoto into a serious, no-holds-barred duel.

Nearby, Shin and Lu are dragged into a grueling struggle of their own against Obiguro, who proves a punishing foe. The episode leans into what truly fuels Sakamoto's power, not the glory of his past but the family waiting for him at home.

A separate thread also opens. Nagumo and a specialized unit answering to the assassins' governing body, known as ORDER, quietly begin investigating a string of unsettling events rippling through their world.

Sakamoto commits fully to a one-on-one against Boiled, his instincts from the past roaring back. Shin and Lu hold their ground in a difficult fight with Obiguro.

ORDER is introduced as an investigative task force, and Nagumo begins probing a recent case troubling the assassin community. Several members of the unit make their first appearances.

Set within the Amusement Park Arc, this episode covers chapters 12 through 15. A large group of debuts arrives, including Shishiba, Hyo, Osaragi, Iriya, Takamura, Kanaguri, and the mysterious figure known as Slur.

The adaptation reworks several beats from the source. It resolves Lu and Obiguro's clash before the opening credits, adds fresh moments such as Aoi questioning Shin and Sakamoto being quizzed about his weight loss, and trims a few manga scenes involving a video store visit. Hashire Sakamoto opens the episode and Futsu closes it, which first aired on February 8, 2025.
