Chapter 11: Sakamoto vs. Boiled

Boiled presses Taro again on whether he recognizes him. Taro brushes the question aside and asks instead about the man's family, but Boiled only replies that anything Taro has lost is his own to recover. When Taro throws a punch, Boiled slips it with a tossed bomb, then dodges a follow up kick and rings Taro with explosives before striking him using an armored gauntlet fitted with two angled pipes.

Nearby, Obiguro registers that the battle has started. A drunk Lu swings at her and is easily stopped; Obiguro yanks the girl's hair and tells her to do better. She admits she could kill Shin and Lu on the spot but finds no excitement in it, so her subordinates bind Shin instead. Claiming that fear draws out a person's real power, she orders Lu to land even a single touch or watch Shin be cut apart. Lu breaks down in tears, apologizing that she cannot do it.

Boiled reminds Taro that five years of retirement have carved a gap between them, lamenting how the once flawless legend has gone soft. He touts his Super Ball Bombs and Rocket Dynamite Punch as tools that reach any range and angle, jogging Taro's memory of the day Boiled demonstrated them to him and Nagumo back in their student days. Enraged that his former idol has grown weak enough to fail his own family, Boiled slams Taro into a wall. As he lights a cigarette, a wave of killing intent makes him sweat, and a slimmed down Sakamoto steps up behind him, calmly reciting the exact makeup of each bomb before declaring that he now remembers Boiled and intends to hold nothing back.

The showdown between Taro Sakamoto and Boiled ignites, with Boiled deploying his Super Ball Bombs and armored Rocket Dynamite Punch. A flashback ties the two men to their shared JCC student days alongside Nagumo. Obiguro simultaneously breaks Lu down, using a bound Shin as leverage. The chapter turns on Sakamoto slimming into his combat form and resolving to fight seriously.

Sakamoto vs. Boiled is the eleventh chapter of the series, part of the Amusement Park Arc and collected in Volume 2. It ran in issue 11 of 2021, dated February 15, 2021, across twenty one pages. The chapter follows Chapter 10 and leads into Chapter 12.
