Chapter 125: My Turn

Hyo grows cautious as Kumanomi bends the surrounding metal to her will, effectively arming herself with the entire street. She rips a car loose and throws it, reels him in, and lands a heavy blow that barely registers. Having read her rhythm, Hyo announces that the exchange now belongs to him and answers with a punch that draws blood, though she keeps her cool.

She heaps up signboards and banners as a barrier, only for Hyo to smash straight through and strike her again. A rack of knives snatched from a shop scores a few shallow cuts, yet he still pulls several bystanders clear of the chaos. Sneering that he fancies himself a hero, Kumanomi tears into the Order for its swollen pride and lets slip that she is relieved some event never came to pass, without saying what.

She magnetizes two nails and fires them at a small boy. Hyo throws himself in the way, guarding the child at the cost of the sight in his left eye. When she taunts that he was never assassin material, he flashes back to his failure to match Nagumo's talent or Sakamoto's nerve. Bracing for a killing strike, he finds an odd peace in dying under the Order's banner, until a gunshot knocks the attack aside and reveals Heisuke, weapon raised to face her himself.

Hyo turns the tide by decoding Kumanomi's magnetic tricks and countering with brute force, wounding her for the first time. Protecting a child from her charged nails costs him the vision in his left eye, and her taunts drag up his insecurity beside Nagumo and Sakamoto. Just as she readies a fatal blow, Heisuke intervenes with a well-placed shot and steps in to take over the fight.

The installment carries the Bangkok Arc into Volume 15 and spans nineteen pages, debuting on July 03, 2023, in issue 31. Beyond Hyo, Kumanomi, Heisuke, and Piisuke, the script name-drops Nagumo and Sakamoto as measures of the strength Hyo feels he lacks. The cover pairs Hyo with Kumanomi.
