Chapter 128: Convergence

Word of Hyo's death reaches the JAA headquarters, and Nagumo climbs to the roof to fire a mourning shot, remarking that the good ones always go first. Shin receives Heisuke's message that he is en route. The team arrives at a derelict warehouse district where Uzuki is hiding, and Sakamoto stresses that their job is to capture him, not brawl. He cautions Shin and Amane to watch out for Gaku and lays out a plan to take the target without a fight, though Shin freezes when his tracking picks up a familiar voice.

Uzuki, meanwhile, hears that Kumanomi has won her battle. Before moving out, Kashima asks what kind of new order Uzuki intends to build once the mission succeeds. Uzuki says he plans nothing of the sort and will simply let events unfold, which unsettles Kashima, who cannot stomach assassins roaming free and the innocent deaths that would follow. He tells Uzuki he has become someone unrecognizable from the man he first met.

Uzuki reveals he knows Kashima snooped on him in the lab and fixes him with a lethal stare. The moment breaks when Akira Akao strides in with Kanaguri trailing her. Uzuki is stunned by her arrival, and she declares that he is the one who killed Rion, as Sakamoto's group races toward the scene.

Hyo's death is confirmed at the JAA, prompting Nagumo's rooftop salute. Sakamoto's squad closes in on Uzuki's warehouse hideout under orders to arrest rather than kill. Uzuki unnerves Kashima by admitting he wants no new regime at all, and the confrontation escalates when Akira Akao appears to accuse him of murdering Rion.

The fifteen-page chapter advances the Bangkok Arc in Volume 15 and was released on July 24, 2023, in issue 34. It shifts focus from the finished Hyo duel toward Sakamoto's operation against Uzuki, seeding the coming clash.
