Summary

Baffled by how the killers he sent after Toramaru were beaten, Samejima presses his downed agents for answers. They describe being overrun by help from an unlikely quarter, calling the man who intervened some random heavyset stranger they could not handle. Shin instantly understands that the stranger is Sakamoto.

Just as Shin considers his next step now that backup has come and the bombing has been averted, Natsuki calls out to him, signaling fresh developments. Briefing Shin on another invisibility plan, the two realize with alarm that Shin's clairvoyance may have shut off, and the loss of his foresight makes their situation shakier still.

The view moves to Chairman Sei Asaki, who hears of the assassination attempt and, bored rather than alarmed, resolves to head home. He is stopped by Erio Muto, a senior JAA executive who is secretly a double agent for Slur, tasked with keeping him inside. Muto claims the exits were locked to catch the terrorists and hints the chairman should linger, but Asaki holds firm on leaving.

Nagumo steps in at the right instant, tempting Asaki with a special collection held within the museum, and the intrigued chairman agrees to be shown it. Once alone with Muto, Nagumo openly admits he has seen through the man's cover and his aims, yet promises no harm, since keeping Asaki in the building suits his own plans too.

As Samejima closes in on Sakamoto and Toramaru, three of Slur's assassins, Gaku, Kumanomi, and Haruma, force their way inside. Haruma cuts down the guards while Kumanomi pushes ahead. Meeting Samejima, Gaku kills him outright by driving both bare hands through his skull. Nagumo arrives to see the deed and readies himself to face Gaku.
