Chapter 199

During a formal gathering aboard a cruise ship, Taro Sakamoto and Shin trade quiet compliments about their piano playing until Shin notices Tasuku Ando watching him from across the ballroom. Ando, who is also Sakamoto's assignment, coldly asks his son what he wants and blames him for the ruin the JAA brought down on his life. Enraged, Shin accuses his father of running off yet again and reads the man's intentions, but Ando triggers a switch that tears apart a nearby cabin. He warns Sakamoto that a far larger device will detonate the instant he is killed, endangering thousands of passengers, and cites an agency rule barring Sakamoto from causing bystander deaths.

Sakamoto demands the bomb's location and is refused, with Ando counting down to the moment the ship slips into waters beyond the JAA's reach. When Sakamoto charges, a newcomer's anchor hurls him aside, and he shields Shin by firing on the weapon as it swings back. Fleeing through the corridors, Shin lies about forgetting where the bomb sits, unwilling to lift a finger once Sakamoto confirms he still means to kill Ando afterward.

Ando's threat defines the confrontation, revealing a shipboard bomb tied to his survival and a thirty minute window before the vessel exits agency jurisdiction. Ikari, swinging a massive anchor, presses her assault and nearly strangles Shin for spoiling her moment with Ando, only for Sakamoto to loop a life preserver around her neck and fling her into a pool at the foot of a water attraction. Communicating without speaking, Sakamoto urges Shin to run and admits he never knew parents of his own, so he cannot grasp the boy's grief. As the standoff settles, Ikari asks where Sakamoto trained, and he names his origin as the Order.

The installment, called Ikari after the anchor-wielding enforcer, is the one-hundred and ninety-ninth chapter and spans twenty-one pages inside the twenty-second volume. Part of the JAA Jail Arc, it reached readers on February 3, 2025, in the tenth issue of that year.
