Summary

Oki and the Order openly commit to Slur's side. Pressed by Sakamoto on why they would align now, Oki argues that the paid killer's trade is fading: constant surveillance makes concealed hits nearly impossible, pushing prices up and clients away, so people increasingly pursue what he calls social death, ruining lives through information and reputation rather than physical murder. To Oki, Slur is the means to break that manipulative society and restore the assassin's era. Shin and Heisuke privately decide he has lost his mind, since he treats laws and rules as afterthoughts and savagery as the world's true base, with killers at its summit. Sakamoto counters that only a life immersed in violence could produce such a belief. Checking a watch hidden under his sleeve, Oki announces a three-minute job with no overtime, and the four Order fighters ready their weapons.

Osaragi's collapsible buzzsaw sweeps in a wide arc, forcing Sakamoto, Shin, Heisuke, and Hoshi to spring clear. Recognizing her from the gallery encounter, Shin tries to lock her neck, but she overpowers him and slams him into the concrete. Shishiba drives the point of his hammer at Heisuke, who blocks with his rifle; reading Shishiba's thoughts leaves Shin visibly shaken, though Shishiba hushes him with a finger to his lips. Boiled, tiring against Tanabata, takes a guitar to the head that sends him through a wall, then a pick to the chest that draws blood, and Tanabata remarks on the terrible sound before letting him go. Torres leaps from the roof with a sandblast, but Sakamoto flips clear and kicks him back up top.

Sakamoto urges relocating to spare civilians, and Oki flatly reveals that the old rule forbidding harm to bystanders no longer applies under the new federation. He shows a live feed from the store, where a supposed customer steps inside near Aoi and Lu and the shop erupts in an explosion. Sakamoto's mind fractures at the memory of Aoi's smile. As Oki moves to drive a knife into his neck, a blur cuts in: Kindaka, finally awake after an eight-year coma, pulls Sakamoto to safety, while Yotsumura presses his three-section staff blade to Oki's throat. Shishiba grimaces at the pair's survival, and Kindaka mutters that the brats have been running wild.
