China Invasion! is the fourth chapter of Sakamoto Days, an Amusement Park Arc installment collected in Volume 1. A supply run drops Taro Sakamoto and Shin into a violent chase when Lu Shaotang and her pursuers crash into their errand.
A restocking trip carries Taro Sakamoto and Shin into the Nikita Chinatown district, where Taro is really chasing a prized batch of pork buns capped at fifty per shopper. Their haul goes sideways when Lu Shaotang tumbles down from overhead and flattens the buns Taro just bought. Pursuers close in on her, one grabbing her from behind while another moves in to finish the job, but Taro snaps the attacker's blade with a pair of pincers and Shin drops the man holding her. When a gunman steps up, Lu answers with tai chi and puts him down in a heartbeat.
Mistaken for members of Lu's crew, the pair break away with her as fresh reinforcements swarm the street.
The failed hunters answer to Wang, chairman of the Danshokai, who fumes that Lu slipped away even after his people wiped out her whole family. When a subordinate stammers an apology, Bacho lops off the man's head, then laughs at the corpse still gasping until his brother Son Hee snaps at him for treating a body so crudely. Wang sends the twins after a key Lu carries, the object that would hand him rule of the Chinese underworld.
Lu admits her triad lineage and refuses to give the key up, since her murdered parents died shielding it. Moved by her loss, Taro strikes a bargain: rescue first, restocking second, and pork buns from Lu as payment. The assassin brothers arrive, Bacho boots Taro aside, and Shin trades blows with Son Hee. Taro then charges back to smash Bacho into the ground before he can behead her.
